Useless How to guide – critical analysis of How to Download YouTube Videos in 2020 by Adam Enfroy

You know, I should probably preface the following lines with some kind of trait self-aggrandizing quasi apology like this is a post I really didn’t want to have to write, but that would be it sort of lie. Because, at heart, I’m a petty and vindictive man and this is an article I very much wanted to write. I’d been wanting to write it ever since, during my search for wisdom, I forced myself through to the steaming pile of dog shit that is Adams Enfroy’s blog and came face to face with the horrifying realization that those are 5 hours of my life that I’ll never get back.

Fuck off

The only time I want to lose 5 hours is when I wake up the following morning in my bathtub with an empty bottle of vodka in one hand and a Brazilian transvestite in the other.

Anyway, enough about me, I’m here to rant about Enfroy´s article “How to Download YouTube Videos in 2020 (Ultimate Guide)”.  Content marketing, if you will…. So, grab your industrial-strength Lube, because you are going to need it.

Now, it’s no secret that I’ve got a bit of a love affair with How-to guides. In fact, I’ve spent some time trying to write some useful ones myself. I desperately tried to tell a viable story instead of over writing someone’s else legacy with increasingly desperate attempts to boost my SEO rankings.

Anyway, back to Adam Enfroy, the man has been responsible for some of the greatest blog posts ever made using a unique combination of well put facts, meticulous attention to details, strong writing, and iconic success story.

Nice one Adam!

The problem with all this success is that, eventually, it can go to your head with no one left who has the balls to call you: “I challenge your ideas”, or rein in your ego when you need it. You’re free to be as impulsive excessive and self-indulgent as you like and the  quality of your creative output inevitably suffers.

In Adam’s case the end result of this uncontrolled burst of ego driven creativity was his “Ultimate Guide “How to Download YouTube Videos in 2020, ironically written in 2019.

This is probably the most overrated, bad blogpost ever made.

“But Richard, you indefatigable Renaissance man” I hear you say, “This article ranks Nº1 in Google search! How can you possibly claim it’s bad when it’s one of the most successful blogposts ever made?”. Because, my simple-minded friend, Google SEO rank doesn’t determine whether a blog article is objectively good. I can’t believe I’m actually having to say this, but gate Google´s artificial algorithms don’t make something a meaningful valuable endeavor. If they did then How to Clean Your House Fast would be just as culturally significant as writings about Harper´s Lee ” To Kill a Mockingbird”.

Reality of surveillance capitalism is that sometimes bad blog article makes lots of money and really good blogs don’t make any….and this particular bad article by Adam Enfroy has made a shitload of money.

But let´s go back to this “ultimate guide”… since we’ve been already in the second half of 2020 and you can expect possible revision of this article (How to Download YouTube Videos in 2021 (Ultimate Guide)) soon I guess this is as good a time as any to see if I can make sense of this bullshit.

And here we go: “YouTube is the largest on-demand video platform in the world” – no shit, are you kidding me!!!

In fact, over 30 million visitors watch 5 billion videos every single day on YouTube”, Adam writes in second paragraph. The words 30 million is hyperlink not to some reliable source, as you might think, instead it leads us to some dubious blog “MerchDope”. This, my simple-minded friend, is masterclass from the maestro, how to give content backlinks!

Third paragraph says that You can download YouTube videos into formats like MP4, AVI, MPEG, and more. Or if you just need audio, you can convert YouTube videos into MP3 files. The end of the last sentence is hyperlink to another article from Enfroy´s blog. Guess what?! It is another bullshit how to guide…Oh Adam, you sneaky bastard! Blog Like a Startup, Not a Writer! Sure, no writer could write about stuff you are writing.

The next headline asks, “Is Downloading YouTube Videos Legal?”. Adam gives us a lot of gibberish with conclusion – since most of the converters available in the market are law-abiding, with proper protocol in place to ensure the legality of their actions.

Considering, that most of your readers are naughty teenagers, how can you sleep at night? Downloading videos from YouTube is in breach of YouTube’s Terms of Service, and the company could sue you. YouTube has shown no desire to penalize users for downloading videos. Downloading copyrighted videos without permission is a criminal act.

Lots of people do it, but that doesn’t mean it’s right. Adam, you shouldn’t make money with instructions to do something illegal.

But let’s go forward, and dive in into article’s body, if you will…

The second headline is “What Are the Steps to Download Youtube Videos?”

Why so much crap? All steps are already done…. your retarded reader is on the front of his computer, desperately searching how to illegally download his favorite piece of video…. Allow me to enlighten you! Because, to better rank on Google, the post needs to be at least 1500 words long.

Anyway, for a while, Adam continues with long useless sentences without any practical information – Using a YouTube downloader is the fastest way to download YouTube videos. At this point, I am starting to feel sick. Probably Adam thinks that he is living among the retards. No joke!

“First and foremost, choose the tool that is compatible with your system”, Adam is unstoppable, and his words flows from horn of abundance: “You may also choose based on whether a tool is free or not”.

You see,Adams blog post represents all what is wrong with today’s blogs. Google’s algorithm and desperate attempts to SEO forces smart, decent and even intelligent people to produce nonsense like this Adam’s post. Probably, I am not the first one to speak out, but reading stuff like this insults my intelligence.

I guess it’s time for the big finale. Let´s see how really the “Ultimate Guide” How to Download YouTube Videos in 2020 should look like.

How to really download YouTube videos or save them to MP3:
